Workshops take place on various weekends throughout the year. Our next workshop will be held on the 28th-29th June, featuring Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring.
Each workshop centres around a significant orchestral work, such as symphonies or concertos. Previous repertoire has included: Dvořák - Symphony No. 9 "New World", Holst - The Planets Suite and Rachmaninoff - Symphonic Dances
A welcoming atmosphere with fellow musicians who share a passion for both music and public service.
Hot refreshments and biscuits provided throughout the day.
Regular breaks to socialise and form connections within the orchestra.
A relaxed performance at the end of each workshop, free for family and friends to attend.
Workshop dates are announced around 6 months in advance to gauge interest.
Selected players receive confirmation and payment/donation details.
Music is sent out electronically before the workshop when available for preparation.
We aim to confirm places and send out full details, including venue, timings, and schedule, 2 months prior to the event.
